If you’re an apartment-dweller, you’ll feel a lot less safe after you watch THE SUPER, from writer/directors Brian Weaver and Evan Makrogiannis (THE TURNPIKE KILLER). The indie horror feature has made its worldwide streaming debut today.

Having won awards and praise at a number of festivals, THE SUPER can now be seen via Vimeo on Demand; hit up the trailer/link below to check it out. Shot on location in New York City, in the spirit of ’80s favorites like MS. 45 and MANIAC, THE SUPER stars Demetri Kallas, Edgar Moyé, Ruby LaRocca, Lynn Lowry (THE CRAZIES, I DRINK YOUR BLOOD), Manoush and Ron Braunstein, a.k.a. rapper Necro, with makeup effects by Brian Spears. The synopsis: “George Rossi [Kallas] is an unstable war veteran turned Queens apartment house superintendent. During the Christmas season, he desperately tries to hold onto his sanity in the face of mounting home and workplace pressure. Also on his full plate of problems is a wheelchair-bound wife [Lowry] who dreams of a better life. One of the building’s tenants, the vile Olga [Manoush], quickly becomes his partner in depravity. She takes George under her wicked wing and introduces him to the joys of killing for profit and pleasure. The unholy duo is faced with a problem and turns to Detective Sardusky [Braunstein], a crooked cop who, for a price, can make bodies disappear.”

THE SUPER is also available as a “Red Scare Edition” DVD; head over to the movie’s Facebook page for more info.
