Artist and proprietor of Scream Prints art store Steve Jencks has just released a couple of new 12 X 12-inch limited run mash-up prints (signed by the artist) through his online store.
CHUCKY VS. CHUCKIE pays tribute two vastly different red headed lads. Chucky, beloved “Good Guy” doll is possessed by the spirit of serial killer Charles Lee Ray, while Chuckie comes from the popular Nickelodeon series ‘Rugrats’, in which four toddlers go through their daily lives usually encountering new experiences and adventures, made more exciting by the imaginations of the main characters. CHUCKY VS. CHUCKIE is a mash up for the ages, as the particular life experience depicted in the print is one that Chuckie won’t soon forget!
Following up is a limited screen print that deals with two iconic horror genre icons. JAWS VS. JASON pits everyone’s favorite hockey mask-wearing slasher up against the creature from the deep sea. Going by Jencks’ depiction, Voorhees has bitten off more than he can chew, or is it the other way around? Look closely for a small Easter egg that shows some love for the 1989 Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan film. Asked how he came up with the idea for this mash-up, Jencks says: “I was thinking how Quint had a machete and immediately thought of Jason. Also Quint was sorta dressed like Jason. Don’t worry, though, Jaws hasn’t bit down yet and Jason is in full machete swing mode.”
Finally, if coloring is your thing, look no further than the “Back to Ghoul Coloring Book Promotion” that is running on the Scream Print’s website for a limited time. The promotion offers big savings as purchasers will get not one, but two (out of three) volumes of the HORROR COLORING BOOKS that usually sell for $15/ each, right now they are $20 for both!. Each book is filled with 20 pages of terror to color anyway, people see fit, and this is the perfect gift to relieve the stress of summer holidays ending.
