First issued as a special Black Friday release last year, Severin Films’ Blu-ray of the Ted Raimi-starring shocker SKINNER is getting general distribution next month. Read on for the complete info, cover art and trailer.

SKINNER, first released in 1995, cuts in on February 19. Directed by television veteran (and one-time boyfriend of infamous “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss) Ivan Nagy from a script by Paul Hart-Wilden, it also stars Traci Lords, Ricki Lake and Richard Schiff, with grisly makeup effects by KNB EFX. Raimi plays Dennis Skinner, a psychopath who murders prostitutes to wear their skin and falls for a young housewife (Lake) while being stalked by a badly scarred former victim (Lords) who survived his mutilation. The Blu-ray contains a new 4K scan from the original uncut camera negative, plus the following special features:

  • “A Touch of Scandal”: Interview with director Ivan Nagy
  • “Under His Skin”: Interview with star Ted Raimi
  • “Bargain Bin VHS for a Buck”: Interview with screenwriter Paul Hart-Wilden
  • “Cutting Skinner”: Interview with editor Jeremy Kasten
