The director’s latest horror film is flying in early next year.

Variety reports that Disney has given a January 30, 2026 release date to 20th Century Studios’ SEND HELP, Sam Raimi’s return to directing horror. Written by Mark Swift and Damian Shannon (FREDDY VS. JASON), it stars Rachel McAdams (from Raimi’s DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS), Chris Pang, Dylan O’Brien and Dennis Haysbert. Per the trade, the movie “is about a woman who is stranded on a remote island with her boss after a plane crash and their struggles to stay alive.” It’s Raimi’s first time helming a fright film since 2009’s DRAG ME TO HELL; production is currently underway, and producer Zainab Azizi posted the below image to her Instagram last week.
