RLJE Films Drops Official Trailer For “Prisoners of the Ghostland”

This fall, Sion Sono (Cold Fish, Love Exposure) makes his English-language debut with PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND!

In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber (Nicolas Cage) is sprung from jail by a wealthy warlord (Bill Moseley)
whose adopted granddaughter Bernice (Sofia Boutella) has gone missing. The Governor offers the prisoner his freedom in exchange for retrieving the runaway. Strapped into a leather suit that will self-destruct within five days, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman—and his own path to redemption.

This “deliriously gonzo genre mash-up” had its world premiere this past January at Sundance and is hitting theaters and VOD next month. Check out the official trailer below!

RLJE Films will release PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND in theaters and on VOD and Digital Sept. 17, 2021.
