‘90s late-night cable TV was a time and place where you just had to be. The viewing landscape shifted drastically around the midnight hour on Friday and Saturday nights, with hosts portraying characters as varied as the films they aired. Joe Bob Briggs, Elvira and their contemporaries would ride shotgun as bleary-eyed teenagers discovered sanitized versions of films like Chopping Mall, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and the Troma catalog.

Kings of Horror, the popular online platform whose original and licensed properties garner millions of views every month across YouTube, is continuing the horror hosting renaissance by rebooting the classic UP ALL NIGHT, and they’re doing it in the only way that makes sense—with the legendary Rhonda Shear serving as the ringmaster.

Up All Night was never just a show—it was an attitude … and maybe a little eyeliner, cleavage and sarcasm,” said Shear. “Now we’re back—louder, sassier and somehow even funnier. Teaming up with Kings of Horror means we’re not just dusting off VHS tapes—we’re throwing a full-on horror house party. We’ve got a killer team of writers, comedians and production partners ready to unleash all-new skits, twisted characters and laugh-your-ass-off moments.”

Shear Enterprises, LLC and Kings of Horror’s new partnership kicks-off on October 25th with the “Boo Bash.” The episode promises a double-header of horror films set to the familiar beat of the show’s previous format with surprise guest and skits. And in continuing the tradition of what began nearly 30 years ago and produced an astounding catalog of more than 450 episodes, selected films are slated to include indie darlings, festival highlights and cult classics.

“We’re thrilled to bring Rhonda and Up All Night into the Kings of Horror family,” said Richard Signeski, CEO of Blue Sky Media, LLC, the parent company of Kings of Horror. “This partnership blends her legendary fan base with our global horror community—and together we’re building something special.”

“Working with Rhonda on this revival feels like lightning in a bottle,” said Patrick Farmer, Programming Director at Kings of Horror. “We’re not just resurrecting a classic—we’re turning it into a late-night party. Up All Night has always been about fun, connection and offbeat movies.” Farmer added: “It’s also a platform for discovery—spotlighting indie filmmakers and giving new titles the showcase they deserve. Partnering with Rhonda blends nostalgia with a pipeline for the next generation of cult
classics.”

Plans call for November and December holiday-themed specials to fallow the inaugural “Boo Bash,” before transitioning to a bi-weekly cadence in 2026. Episodes are filmed at Shear’s own studios in Tampa, Florida, who is also serving as a writer alongside her hosting duties. Filling out the creative team are scream queens Linnea Quigley and Felissa Rose, musician John Brennan, special guest /comedic actor Yuki and filmmaker Richard Gabai.

Rhonda Shear’s UP ALL NIGHT premieres October 25th at 10 pm EDT.

Ever since watching CREEPSHOW as a child, Kevin Hoover has spent a lifetime addicted to horror (and terrified of cockroaches). He wholeheartedly believes in the concept of reanimating the dead if only we’d give it the old college try, and thinks FRIDAY THE 13th PART V is the best in the franchise. Aside from writing “Cryptid Cinema Chronicles” for Rue Morgue, he’s been a working copywriter for over a decade and you’ve probably bought something with his words on it. He also believes even the worst movie can be improved with buckets of gore.
