Some cool character actors are part of this trip to the animal side of Hollywood.

Devilworks releases BEAST MODE on digital platforms and DVD December 1. Chris W. Freeman and Spain Willingham directed from a script they wrote with Drew Fortune; C. Thomas Howell (THE HITCHER), Leslie Easterbrook (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS), Ray Wise (TWIN PEAKS), James Hong (BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA) and James Duval (DONNIE DARKO) star. The monster was designed by veteran creature maker Brian Wade, whose career spans from THE THING and GALAXY OF TERROR to FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4 to STRANGER THINGS and SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK, and Julie Hapney was the on-set makeup effects artist. The synopsis: “The ’80s throwback horror tells the story of a has-been Hollywood producer who, after accidentally killing his lead star, turns to an ancient herbal elixir in the hope that it will save his career. He makes a dark deal that unleashes a band of bloodthirsty, shapeshifting, ferocious beasts on LA.”
