When I think of Edmonton, the National Hockey League team the Edmonton Oilers pops into my mind but, recently, so has Pennywise the clown, thanks to Travis Shewchuk of Ravenous EFX. Established in 2005, Ravenous EFX specializes in special effects and prop building with work featured on productions such as Wynonna Earp, Fargo and Hell on Wheels.
Recently, Ravenous unveiled one of its new fan art pieces – a 5 pound 12-inch bust of Pennywise, the malevolent clown from Stephen King’s IT. This hand painted piece is cast from urethane resin and also showcases an “IT” themed base, including a paper boat called the “SS Georgie”
“I love to pay tribute to these films through my pieces,” says Travis, a fan at heart. His extremely limited run of Pennywise busts will run you $200 CAD ($170.00 USD) plus shipping.
