Poster debut & details: Nightmares “COME TRUE” in Fantasia premiere from “GINGER SNAPS” & “SPLICE” producers

The people behind a number of Canada’s best genre films teamed up on this dark sci-fi thriller.

The poster (by Sara Deck) has been unveiled for COME TRUE, which has its world premiere as part of this year’s Fantasia International Film Festival, running digitally August 20-September 2. The latest film from writer/director Anthony Scott Burns (OUR HOUSE, HOLIDAYS), its producers include Steven Hoban (GINGER SNAPS, SPLICE), Mark Smith and Brent Kawchuck (IN THE TALL GRASS), and among the executive producers is IN THE TALL GRASS, SPLICE and CUBE director Vincenzo Natali. Julia Sarah Stone, Landon Liboiron (HAPPY DEATH DAY) and Carlee Ryski star; the synopsis: “High school student Sarah [Stone] is at her lowest point yet when she runs away from home and finds herself with no one to rely on and struggling with recurring nightmares. She chances upon a university sleep study that offers the promise of safety and money and brings her an unexpected friend and confidant in the overseeing scientist Jeremy [Liboiron]. But there’s something curious about the proceedings, and being under observation seems to make Sarah’s disturbing dreams even worse. As the darkness begins to close in, it’s soon clear that Sarah has unknowingly become the conduit to a horrifying new discovery…”
