Perry Blackshear’s “WHEN I CONSUME YOU” is Coming to VOD – Poster and Trailer Revealed

New York filmmaker Perry Blackshear follows up his acclaimed psychological horror feature debut They Look Like People and celebrated sophomore effort, the aquatic supernatural horror romance The Siren, with WHEN I CONSUME YOU. Described as a “unique urban folktale,” the film is set to premiere on VOD on August 16 from 1091 Pictures.

Shot in Brooklyn, WHEN I CONSUME YOU sees Blackshear reteaming with creative collaborators MacLeod Andrews, Evan Dumouchel, and Margaret Ying Drake alongside Libby Ewing for a heartfelt family drama about grief and redemption with a dark genre edge.

Ewing and Dumouchel star as siblings Daphne and Wilson Shaw. Troubled since childhood, the pair spends their lives struggling to find stability. At last, Daphne seems to get her life together, but a darkness that has long plagued her family threatens to encroach on her newfound happiness.
