The award-winning actor is also a producer on the movie that rolls this summer in the UK.

XYZ Films has announced that Paul Giamatti will star in BOUTIQUE, its second new genre collaboration with Tea Shop Films after Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia’s recently wrapped BANQUET. Jim Gavin, creator of AMC’s LODGE 49, makes his feature directorial debut from his screenplay, with Giamatti and Dan Carey’s Touchy Feely Films producing along with Tea Shop’s James Harris and Mark Lane and XYZ’s Guy Danella; Jacob Jaffke (MAXXXINE) is executive producer. The synopsis: “American tourist Calvin [Giamatti] journeys to the eerie English seaside town that inspired the work of his favorite reclusive author but instead gets entangled with a murderous secret society permeating the whole town.”

“I’m crazy excited to be a part of this project and for Touchy Feely to be working with XYZ,” Giamatti says. “Scary, funny, bizarre, strangely moving, it’s one of the best scripts I’ve ever read by one of the most talented guys I know, Jim Gavin!” Says Danella, “We’re honored and excited to be working with a legend like Paul and take his singular talents to new genre territories through Jim’s iconic script.”
