Artsploitation Films will bring Argentinean horror specialist Gonzalo Calzada’s LUCIFERINA (pictured) to Blu-ray and DVD November 20, then issue it to digital HD, including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu and more, December 4. Malena Sánchez, Sofia del Tuffo, Marta Lubos, Pedro Merlo and Vando Villamil star; the synopsis: “Natalia [Sánchez]] is a 19-year-old novice who reluctantly returns home to say goodbye to her dying father. But when she meets up with her sister and her friends, she decides instead to travel the jungle in search of a mystical plant. Instead of pleasure, they find a world of black masses, strange pregnancies, bloody deaths and perhaps, a sexually violent clash with the devil himself.”

Uncork’d Entertainment already has Lisa Brühlmann’s acclaimed body-horror/coming-of-age film BLUE MY MIND crossing the country in special screenings; it begins a two-week run at Los Angeles’ Laemmle Glendale theater November 2, and then comes to VOD November 13, on platforms including iTunes, Amazon Instant, Vudu, Google Play, xbox, Fandango Now, YouTube and Dish. The cast is headed by Luna Wedler, Zoë Pastelle Holthuizen, Regula Grauwiller, Georg Scharegg, Lou Haltinner and Yael Meier; the synopsis: “Fifteen-year-old Mia [Wedler] and her parents move to the suburbs of Zürich. While Mia plunges into a wild teenager existence, her body begins to change oddly. First hardly noticeably, but then with a force that threatens to drive her out of her mind. Mia’s transformation progresses inexorably, and she turns into the being which has slumbered within her for years…and is now gaining the upper hand.”
