Official trailer and posters creep out for HBO Max’s “IT: WELCOME TO DERRY” series

Pennywise has a whole new group of people to terrorize next month.

HBO will debut the first of eight episodes of IT: WELCOME TO DERRY Sunday, October 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the cable service, and it also will be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes will then debut weekly, leading to the season finale Sunday, December 14. The series based on Stephen King’s novel was developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, encoring from the hit theatrical features, with Muschietti directing multiple episodes of the series and Fuchs scripting the first installment. The cast is headed by Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso and Bill Skarsgård, reprising his big-screen role as Pennywise. Set in 1962, the prequel series focuses on an African-American family who move to the titular Maine town and face opposition from some of the locals; meanwhile, the local kids discover that the Dancing Clown is behind a series of recent disappearances.
