November Short Horror Releases on Alter

If you’re into short horror, the folks at ALTER have you covered.  Rue Morgue wants to make sure you’re up-to-date on all of the cool stuff they have coming up, so each month we’ll be highlighting their upcoming releases.  Take a look at what they have planned for November 2020:

Feed Your Muse (November 2)

An aspiring novelist purchases the “muse” of a famous dead author at a garage sale. But what does the muse want in return?

Black Eyed Child (November 4)
Director: Tony Morales
Since 1998 the appearances of the BEC has been constant, and the consequences of looking directly into their eyes has been irreversible. A terminally ill women will receive a visit from a BEC, who will not come alone on a stormy night, who will be accompanied by a malignant entity.

We Die Alone (November 6)
Director: Marc Cartwright
A chance encounter dangerously intertwines the lives of three people with differing perspectives on love.

Rito De Paso (November 9)

After closing his eyes, our hero wakes up in another world. There he awaits the arrival of someone on top of a mountain. Together they will walk deep into the woods with the intention of rescuing their dearest loved one from the clutches of a mysterious secret society, led by a fearsome woman who will implement a cathartic ritual allowing the appearance of the shadows from their past.

The Deal (November 11-EXCLUSIVE)
Director: Danny Kaminsky
Logline: The Deal is a psychological thriller about unexpected change. The fat girl’s skinny. The stoner’s a success. And the nerd who did magic tricks is now the life of the party. But for Bryce, the prom king-quarterback, change isn’t good, especially when what’s left of his life vanishes before his eyes.

The Girl in the Woods (November 16)

Fragile.com (November 18)

A teenage girl who more than anything wants to be told she’s special is approached by a charming man who promises her fame, fortune, and affection—if she agrees to livestream herself crying for his niche website, Fragile.com.

Atomic Ed (November 20)
Director: Hugon Nicolas
Ed is the favorite victim of Mark, the neighborhood motorcycle gang leader. The day when one of the members of the gang is found horribly mutilated, they lash out on him. Ed has no choice but to take responsibility and an improvised weapon to become the one he has always dreamed of being.

Boris of the Forest (November 23)

A geeky American travels to London in search of his horror hero Boris Karloff.

Bloodletting (November 25-EXCLUSIVE)

When Dana has her period for the first time since a traumatic event, her suppressed pain begins to manifest itself in hallucinations.

Homesick (November 27)
Director: Sam Goodwin
A young boy, left alone as an unnatural threat ravages the world, clings to his daily routine as he waits for his mother to come back for him.

The Grey Matter (November 30)

Logline: An office stiff wakes up in an alley mysteriously covered in blood. In the aftermath, he attracts the attention of a coveted coworker, granting him a new lease on life…but something strange is afoot.
