One of the best up-and-coming horror filmmaking teams has a new folk-horror feature coming.

RLJE Films and Shudder have announced that NOCEBO, directed and written by the WITHOUT NAME and VIVARIUM team of Lorcan Finnegan and Garret Shanley respectively, will open in select theaters November 4 and then see VOD/digital release November 22. It stars Eva Green, Mark Strong, Chai Fonacier and Billie Gadsdon; the synopsis: “A fashion designer [Green] suffers from a mysterious illness that confounds her doctors and frustrates her husband [Strong]–until help arrives in the form of a Filipino nanny [Fonacier] who uses traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth.”
