Nobody’s lion around in exclusive “UNCAGED” clip

A big, bad cat is on the prowl and a couple of puny humans try to track and kill it in an exclusive clip from UNCAGED, out next week, that you can check out after the jump.

4Digital Media releases UNCAGED to VOD, digital platforms and DVD March 17. Written and directed by Dutch genre vet Dick Maas (THE LIFT, AMSTERDAMNED, SAINT) and originally titled PREY (PROOI), the film stars Sophie Van Winden, Julian Looman, Mark Frost, Reinus Krul and Victor Löw. The synopsis: “After finding a gruesomely slaughtered farmer’s family just outside Amsterdam, the police call Royal Zoo’s veterinarian Lizzy [Van Winden] for help. She immediately sees what must have caused the bloody mutilations: an enormous, aggressive lion. Nobody believes her and it isn’t until after a bloodbath at the main park that the authorities agree with her plan to deploy the British hunter, Jack [Frost], to catch the killer lion. However, tensions rise as Lizzy’s boyfriend Dave [Looman] starts to worry about Lizzy and Jack’s previous romantic relationship getting in the way. But even he must admit that Jack is their best chance to prevent more bloodshed on the city streets. The hunt is on…”
