New trailer and poster for Robert Eggers’ “THE LIGHTHOUSE” shine through

One of the year’s most anticipated genre films, director Robert Eggers’ follow-up to THE WITCH has a fresh trailer and poster you can see past the jump.

A24 releases THE LIGHTHOUSE to theaters October 18. Written by Robert and Max Eggers and shot in atmospheric black and white, the movie stars Willem Dafoe stars as a lighthouse keeper on an island off the New England coast in the 1890s who takes on a new assistant (Robert Pattinson). There’s tension between them from the start, and their situation soon becomes hallucinatory and horrifying as well.
