PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH (pictured), the reboot of the tiny-terror franchise, is among the first wave of features announced for the 2018 edition of the long-running Fantaspoa festival, which has also unveiled its official poster, a homage to a classic horror character.
The 14th edition of Fantaspoa, Latin America’s largest genre fest, takes place May 17-June 3 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The poster, seen below, reflects the event’s focus on the many screen incarnations of Mary Shelley’s classic novel FRANKENSTEIN, which celebrates its 200th anniversary this year. Guests will include filmmaker Mick Garris and actress Elina Löwensohn (NADJA, LET THE CORPSES TAN); joining the previously announced opening- and closing-night films, both from Brazil—Rodrigo Aragão’s A MATA NEGRA and Fernando Sanches’ A PEDRA DA SERPENTE—are these newly announced features:

In addition to the screenings, Fantaspoa will host its first Fantasmercado film production market, devoted to hooking up Latin American filmmakers and producers.
