The producers behind such notable genre films as Ted Geoghegan’s WE ARE STILL HERE, Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch’s STARRY EYES, Sarah Adina Smith’s BUSTER’S MAL HEART and others have formed a new production outfit and announced a full slate of exciting features.

Deadline reports that Greg Newman of Dark Sky Films, Travis Stevens of Snowfort Picture and Giles Edwards, formerly of Britain’s Metrodome, have joined forces to launch Queensbury Pictures, whose movies will be supported by Dark Sky parent company MPI Media Group. Queensbury’s first lineup of features includes:

  • DEMON, based on the acclaimed supernatural thriller (pictured) by Polish director Marcin Wrona, which will be written and directed by Michael Thelin (EMELIE)
  • BROADCAST SIGNAL INTRUSION, a conspiracy thriller from Jacob Gentry, one of the filmmakers behind THE SIGNAL
  • THE GIRL IN THE THIRD FLOOR WINDOW, described as a factually based horror film, marking Stevens’ writing/directing debut
  • A SLOW COOKED HEART, a neo-giallo digital detective series set at a remote, elite culinary school, from BASKIN and HOUSEWIFE creator Can Evrenol
  • RED CLOUD, a fright film scripted and directed by Chris Sivertson (THE LOST, ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE)
  • GAS & AMMO, a longform series written by Erik Bergquist and set in the extreme motor sport scene

Edwards tells Deadline, “Bold filmmaking, world-class storytelling, truly unique projects that drive the conversation among audiences, buyers and festivals for the next decade—these will become the hallmarks of Queensbury Pictures.”
