Haunting the dreams of ’80s kids as the infamous Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund is the face of horror for a generation. HOLLYWOOD DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES: THE ROBERT ENGLUND STORY, the new documentary from directors Gary Smart, Christopher Griffiths and co-writer Neil Morris, chronicles Englund’s ascent from struggling character actor to pop culture icon. Featuring interviews with Mick Garris, Tony Todd, Eli Roth, Heather Langenkamp, Lance Henriksen and many more, the film is a candid look at the man and the enduring legacy of Freddy Krueger and Nightmare on Elm Street Films.

HOLLYWOOD DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES: THE ROBERT ENGLUND STORY premieres via Screambox and digital on June 6, 2023, but if you just can’t wait to get a glimpse of the man of your dreams, see the new trailer below.
