New England folk horror “SEEDS” gets a Blu-ray/streaming date; new trailer and art

The winner of the Rondo Award for Best Independent Film is coming home.

BayView Entertainment and Vipco are releasing SEEDS, written and directed by Skip Shea, on Blu-ray and streaming services Amazon Prime, Tubi, Indie Box and FlixFling January 31. The atmospheric, black-and-white chiller stars Emma MacKenzie, Patrick Bracken, Kip Weeks (THE STRANGERS), Rick Johnston, Nicole Watson, Aurora Grabill, Bella Medeiros, Demetri Kasperson, Shea and Barbara Magnolfi (SUSPIRIA). The synopsis: “Grieving mother Macha [MacKenzie] must track down her husband Andrew [Bracken], a university professor who has been invited to a remote area of New England to take part in mysterious cult’s ritual in order to receive an inheritance from his uncle. The cult that worships the mystical and ancient power of the apple has also been infiltrated by the Catholic Church under the command of the very ambitious Cardinal Sinibaldi (Kip Weeks).” The Blu-ray is currently up for pre-order at Amazon.
