More scares from Spain are on the way to the streamer.

Netflix has announced that it will premiere SISTER DEATH (HERMANA MUERTE) in October; an exact date is to be announced. Paco Plaza, who directed [REC] and [REC] 2 with Jaume Balagueró and [REC] 3: GENESIS solo, helmed this one from a script by Jorge Guerricaechevarría (longtime collaborator with Álex de la Iglesia), and the cast is headed by Aria Bedmar, Almudena Amor, Maru Valdivielso, Consuelo Trujillo and Pablo Guisa Koestinger. The synopsis: “In post-war Spain, Narcisa [Bedmar], a young novice with supernatural powers, arrives at a former convent, now a school for girls, to become a teacher. As the days go by, the strange events and increasingly disturbing situations that torment her will eventually lead her to unravel the terrible skein of secrets that surround the convent and haunt its inhabitants.” Look for more on SISTER DEATH as it gets closer to release.
