Production of the new chiller is scheduled to start in March.

Neon has announced its acquisition of North American rights to BRIDES, which Chloe Okuno will direct from her screenplay. Maika Monroe, who starred in Okuno’s WATCHER (pictured) and was also seen in this year’s Neon hit LONGLEGS, toplines the new film, which is being produced by Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman and Stefanie Azpiazu. The synopsis: “Sally Bishop [Monroe] and her husband travel to a remote Italian villa where the villa’s owner, a mysterious count, takes a peculiar interest in Sally.” Neon will release BRIDES theatrically on a date to be determined; watch this space for updates.
