Hellboy has nothing on his maker; NECA is making a fully-articulated version of filmmaker GUILLERMO DEL TORO into a poseable toy figure. The man who directed such films as The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Mimic, Pacific Rim and The Devil’s Backbone, will stand 8 inches tall, feature fabric clothing and come with a replica accessory of the notebook he used to keep notes in for the film Pan’s Labyrinth.
Don’t go looking for this in stores though, as it will be limited to 2,000 and exclusively available at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (a limited amount made available online during the event). Priced at $40 USD, this is surely a piece most avid horror figure collectors will want to get their hands on.
This isn’t the only time Neca has created Guillermo del Toro themed figures – they’ve done ones based on The Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth earlier. Funko has also recently immortalized the director in their popular “Funko” pop line of figures.
