Take the trip to a remote island where a folk-horror frightfest awaits.
Neon has announced a March 31 release in select theaters for ENYS MEN, which has received a number of advance rave reviews (including ours). Written and directed by Mark Jenkin, who also served as cinematographer and editor, it stars Mary Woodvine, Edward Rowe, Flo Crowe, John Woodvine and Joe Gray. The synopsis: “A wildlife volunteer on an uninhabited island off the British coast descends into a terrifying madness that challenges her grip on reality and pushes her into a living nightmare. Evoking the feeling of discovering a reel of never-before-seen celluloid unspooling in a haunted movie palace, this provocative and masterful vision of horror asserts Mark Jenkin as one of the UK’s most exciting and singular filmmakers.”
