“MOHAWK” sets first New York screening with director Ted Geoghegan in person

By STAFF

The filmmaker behind the acclaimed supernatural shocker WE ARE STILL HERE will be on hand when his brutal new historical thriller MOHAWK gets its New York City debut next month, and a member of the RUE MORGUE team will be there as well.

MOHAWK, which has won a number of raves (including ours) at festivals over the past year, will screen on Wednesday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Brooklyn’s Nitehawk Cinema (136 Metropolitan Avenue), presented in partnership with the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. Director Ted Geoghegan, who scripted the movie with MY BEST FRIEND’S EXORCISM/PAPERBACKS FROM HELL author Grady Hendrix, will introduce MOHAWK and take part in a post-screening Q&A moderated by RM’s Michael Gingold. Kaniehtiio Horn, Justin Rain, Ezra Buzzington (THE HILLS HAVE EYES), Eamon Farren, Noah Segan (THE MIND’S EYE), Ian Colletti (PREACHER), Robert Longstreet and Jon Huber (a.k.a. Luke Harper of the WWE) star in the film, which is set during the War of 1812 and focuses on a Mohawk couple and their British friend who are stalked through the forest by a vicious band of American soldiers.

See more info and order tickets to the screening here, and find out about all of the Nitehawk’s special screenings (including a number of fright films) here.
