The new film from French writer/director Pascal Laugier, who created a sensation with MARTYRS and also helmed THE TALL MAN, now has a date for its Stateside debut.

Box Office Mojo reports that Vertical Entertainment will issue Laugier’s English-language INCIDENT IN A GHOSTLAND (known simply as GHOSTLAND overseas) on June 22, presumably with the company’s usual strategy of day-and-date limited theatrical and VOD release. Winner of the Grand Prize, Audience Award and Syfy Jury Prize at the prestigious Gérardmer Film Festival, the movie stars popular French-Canadian singer Mylène Farmer, Crystal Reed (TEEN WOLF), Anastasia Phillips, Emilia Jones and Taylor Hickson. The synopsis: “Following her aunt’s death, Pauline [Farmer] and her daughters inherit her house. However, during their first night in their new home, murderers enter the home, putting Pauline in a situation where she must fight to save her daughters’ lives. When the girls suffer a terrible trauma during the night, their disparate personalities diverge even further. Sixteen years later, the daughters and mother reunite at the house where Pauline and Vera continue to reside. It is then that strange events begin to take place.” Check out the French trailer and poster below.
