“Little Terrors” short film showcase returns this Friday January 25th

In Toronto this Friday, our long-running short film festival LITTLE TERRORS returns with a program dedicated to ‘childhood terror’-themed genre shorts. The 65th edition has the title COMING OF RAGE, and features nine selections guaranteed to be a good time. The event takes place Friday, January 25th, 9pm, at Eyesore Cinema. Tickets can be acquired here.

Here’s this month’s line-up:

For Old TImes Sake (18 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Paul Hard-Wilden
Following the death of her parents, a woman returns home to confront the demons of her past.

Penny Whistle  (9 minutes, premiere)

When a little girl blows an old tin whistle she finds in the dirt, something follows her home.

BFF Girls (14 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Brian Lonano
The director Gwilliam brings you….. I’m not even sure how to begin explaining this one. It’ll be an experience with an audience, that’s for sure!

Saturn Through the Telescope (11 minutes)

A young boy tries to sneak out of bed and watch a horror film on TV. Things do not go well. Previous selection of a ton of festivals.

Greater Good (8 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Andrea Ashton
A pregnant woman receives a visit from two strangers, presenting her with an unthinkable decision. Previous selection of Fantasia.

A Fistful of Molars (5 minutes)
DIR: Ryan Couldrey
Six-your-old Sarah is an entrepreneur – she pulls teeth for the Tooth Fairy. Fun short from LT-alumnus Couldrey.

Milk (10 minutes)
DIR: Santiago Menghini
While getting a glass of milk in the middle of the night, a young teen realizes things may not be what they seem. Previous selection of Toronto After Dark.

Wyrmwood: Chronicles of the Dead (7 mintues, Australia)

In this teaser for the TV series based on the hit film WYRMWOOD: ROAD OF THE DEAD, get ready for some post-apocalyptic, zombie-fuelled thrills like only these crazy Aussie-filmmakers can deliver.

9 Pasos (aka 9 Steps) (7 minutes, Spain)
DIR: Marisa Crespo, Moises Romera
A young boy has to face what terrifies him nightly: the long trek down a dark corridor leading from his bedroom to the bathroom.
