Shooting is set to being this fall in Vancouver.
In its second genre announcement this afternoon, Neon has revealed that Lola Tung (THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY) and Nico Parker (THE LAST OF US) will star in THE YOUNG PEOPLE, the first film under a first-look deal between the studio and filmmaker Osgood Perkins. Details on the project, which Perkins scripted, are being kept under wraps, and Neon will release the movie theatrically in the U.S. This is the fourth collaboration between Neon and Perkins, following last year’s hit LONGLEGS, this past spring’s THE MONKEY and KEEPER, which hits theaters November 14. Tung recently wrapped a role in Meredith Alloway’s horror feature FORBIDDEN FRUITS, while Parker starred in this summer’s HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON.
