The actress from HALLOWEEN, DON’T KILL IT and BROOKLYN 45 is both behind and in front of the camera for this psychothriller.

Distributor Studio Dome has announced its acquisition of exclusive rights to NOXTURNE, the first feature film helmed by genre regular Kristina Klebe. Klebe also scripted and stars in the movie, along with Byron Clohessy, Laila Robins, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Robert Clohessy and Kim Director (BOOK OF SHADOWS: BLAIR WITCH 2). The synopsis: “NOXTURNE follows a world-renowned pianist whose life is shattered after a devastating accident leaves her wheelchair-bound and dependent on her younger boyfriend as both caregiver and companion. As her recovery becomes increasingly isolating, disturbing visions, fractured memories, and dangerous obsessions begin to blur the line between reality and nightmare.”

“NOXTURNE is about how the journey of healing can be absolutely terrifying,” says Klebe, who based the story on her own recovery following a life-altering spinal injury. “To truly heal from anything in life, we must face our shadow. I have always been inspired by the deep connection between the mind and our physical bodies, and this is my first foray into bringing that to the screen.”

NOXTURNE has its New York City premiere tomorrow, May 14 at 5 p.m. at the Village East by Angelika, as part of the Big Apple Film Festival. Go here for more information and to order tickets.
