Universal Horror Unleashed is going full solstice horror again this year, bringing back its Krampus & Kin holiday overlay to the year round Las Vegas haunt on select dates from November 19 through January 10, with a handful of new scare zones, a Krampus themed beer garden, and an expanded cast of folkloric monsters joining the horned one’s annual takeover.
Dead Storage transforms into Frost Bite this year, an icy hunting ground ruled by the Vampire Frost Queen and patrolled by her Frost Guard and Frost Stalkers, while the Prop Graveyard becomes Home for the Horrordays, a warped family gathering hosted by the Twin Sister and Twin Brother. Over in Yuletide Legends, guests can wander past oversized storybooks for an encounter with Krampus himself, alongside the returning Grýla and Kallikantzaroi and newcomers Mari Lwyd, Hans Trapp, and Frau Perchta, a genuinely deep cut of European Christmas demon lore for an attraction that already trades in the obscure.
A nightly, lantern lit procession winds through the haunt before ending at Krampus’s towering, skull encrusted black holiday tree, and Demented Circus, the Premiere House’s resident sideshow, gets its own seasonal makeover courtesy of Jack the Clown and his Maniacs, with rock music, dark comedy, and theatrical kills layered over the usual carnage. Reservations for the circus show are open now.
Jack’s Alley hosts Krampus Haus, a Bavarian inspired beer garden serving seasonal drafts and specialty cocktails such as the gin based Devil’s Blood and a mulled wine Krampus Punch, alongside a food lineup that includes a pretzel and cheese fondue dubbed the Chains of Krampus and a fried apple pie called Perchta’s Pie. A dedicated Krampus & Kin merchandise collection, including apparel and collectible keepsakes, is also landing in the attraction’s retail store.
Universal has not announced pricing for the dining pass or circus reservations beyond what is listed on the attraction’s own site, and specific maze hours and nightly offerings are subject to change without notice. Still, for horror fans who treat Halloween Horror Nights’ quieter, eerier cousin as a genuine pilgrimage, the return of Krampus & Kin is about as close to a guarantee of blood chilling, off kilter atmosphere as the Las Vegas Strip currently offers outside of October.
