The sequel brings the video game-inspired terror to this year’s Christmas season.
Blumhouse and Universal Pictures debuted the teaser trailer seen below for FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2 at the Las Vegas CinemaCon event, where the fright factory’s THE BLACK PHONE 2 and M3GAN 2.0 were also previewed. FREDDY’S 2, which hits theaters December 5, was directed by Emma Tammi, returning from the original, and scripted by original game creator Scott Cawthon. Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio and Matthew Lillard all reprise their roles from the first film, and the plot appears to find the living and deadly animatronic creatures departing Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza to spread their terror across a wider canvas. More of the killer characters seem to have joined the ensemble from the previous movie as well.
