Kickstarter for “Trivia Obscura” board game is underway!

Thursday, March 19, 2020 | Announcement

Eight more days to support the Kickstarter campaign for what looks to be a very different and exciting boardgame: TRIVIA OBSCURA. This tabletop board game hailing from Greece incorporates vast knowledge of dark culture and strategy to keep its player’s interest at peak levels.

Some of the team members responsible for bringing this game to light are its concept creator and hardcore gamer Marilena, graphic designer Chiara and artist Yiorgos P. Kavounis who worked on the game expansions—horror fans, gamers and artists in our own community.

TRIVIA OBSCURA has six themed categories called Houses; House of Blood, House of Lifestyle, House of the Occult, House of Science, House of History and House of the Arts with two more Houses to be added if stretch goals are met. Players choose from which House they draw cards. The core game is set to include 600 cards with a total of 1200 well-researched questions for players to sink their teeth into. House cards include many different categories, from biographies, movies, music and so much more.

Enjoyed by two to six players, each player chooses a pawn and starts in the middle of the uniquely laid out game board. Players then roll dice, moving the allotted amount of spaces and must move around the board, no back and forth. When landing in a House, they must answer a question. Every player must choose a House to represent and play for. To win the game you must fully claim all three spots from your chosen House. After claiming all these spots, the player must then make their way back to the center of the board or Dungeon Market.

Don’t fret though, if you are falling behind in the game there are ways to turn this around. Play a new type of card called “Carta Obscura” that wields magical dark powers that may change the game outcome completely and there are ways to buy more moves.

If you know darkness and want to have a ghastly good time with friends then TRIVIA OBSCURA is for you. Check out the Kickstarter that is up and running now.
