Karen Lam’s “THE CURSE OF WILLOW SONG” gets a release date and trailer

The nightmarish chiller from the director of EVANGELINE and BRING IT ON: CHEER OR DIE arrives next month.

Uncork’d Entertainment has announced its acquisition of THE CURSE OF WILLOW SONG, which is scheduled for release on digital platforms and DVD September 26. Written and directed by Karen Lam, it stars Valerie Tian, Elfina Luk, Ingrid Nilson and Adam Lolacher. The synopsis: “Willow Song [Tian], a recovering addict and parolee, struggles to start over. Willow finds herself in a concrete wasteland. Facing isolation and displacement, shadows creep into Willow’s mind and her nightmares become too real.”

“THE CURSE OF WILLOW SONG has so much to offer,” says Uncork’d president Keith Leopard. “It will appeal to the genre audience but also the Asian community–as represented in front of and behind the camera. Karen Lam is truly one of the most exceptional filmmakers out there, and THE CURSE OF WILLOW SONG reiterates that.”
