July 2023 Short Horror Releases on ALTER

If you’re into short horror, the folks at ALTER have you covered.  Rue Morgue wants to make sure you’re up-to-date on all of the cool stuff they have coming up, so each month we’ll be highlighting their upcoming releases.  Take a look at what they have planned for July 2023:

July 3rd: Searchers by Isaac Ruth
A private investigator researches the disappearance of a child in the Salton Sea. But her interview with the mother uncovers something much darker than she could ever have imagined.

July 10th: Sucker by Alix Austin
Two sisters are pitted against each other by a giant, abhorrent leech creature that uses its mind-controlling influence to puppeteer them from the inside out.

July 12: Spell on You by Sarah Lasry
Salomé is disgusted by her reflection in the mirror and the wart on her nose. At night, she spies on her parents through a keyhole, witnessing strange things which no one speaks of.

July 17: A Killer Secret by Bettina Bresnan
A group of college friends are being targeted by a deranged psychopath.

July 24: Morse Code by McKenzi Vanderberg
Seeking closure, a grieving woman uses Morse Code to contact her childhood best friend.

July 26: It Gets Darker by Firas Abou Fakher, Daniel Habib
Following a traumatic incident, Lara joins her childhood friend for a relaxing weekend in an isolated resort. When all is not as it seems, Lara will have to find the inner strength to survive.

July 31st: The Dinner After by Matty Crawford
A guilt-stricken Angela visits her parents for what at first seems to be a routine family dinner, only for a painful truth to bubble to the surface, descending the evening into a nightmare.
