JUDGMENT COMES TO THE FOG: “DEAD BY DAYLIGHT’S CHORUS OF SIN”

The hits keep coming as Dead By Daylight rolls out another addition to its ten-year anniversary celebration. Behaviour Interactive announced a new and ambitious chapter in July, marking the first collaboration with its legions of players. And now, congregation, we are gathered here to witness this unholy union unfurl its wings. Please open your hymn books to THE CHORUS OF SIN.

Launching via the Steam Public Test Build, DEAD BY DAYLIGHT: CHORUS OF SIN introduces a new original Killer and corresponding Survivor into The Entity’s Realm.

Over the past year-plus, CHORUS OF SIN came together with input from the fans through votes, blog posts and community streams, all dedicated to narrowing down the main elements. For their Killer, they chose The Judgement, an otherworldly being of divine and eldritch origin –  a first for the series’ roster.  Aurora, the chosen Survivor, is a spiritual scientist from the post-apocalyptic reality that The Judgement has destroyed. Both new additions bring their own special skills and abilities to The Trials.

THE JUDGEMENT

Divine Light: The Judgment summons a pillar of divine light that injures Survivors and marks them with Heresy. When downed, marked Survivors may be sent into Exile, a realm of eternal punishment where they must avoid hazards or risk speeding up their own demise.

The Judgment is also blessed with three character-specific perks:

Celestial Witness: briefly reveals your Obsession’s aura when they are a great distance away.

Hex: Under Your Thumb ignites a Dull Totem that limits Survivors’ Haste after the first time they gain a Hook State.

Lay Waste: When damaging a generator, Lay Waste will make it regress faster the further it has been repaired.

AURORA STARSDOTTER
Fruits of Your Labor: Stack up tokens as you complete Generators. When you finish your repairs, you’ll gain Haste and increased healing progress for each token you possess.

Salvation’s Cry: While being chased, briefly reveals both of your auras to fellow Survivors. Your teammates’ auras will become visible to you in turn.

Boon: Steadfast: Creates a Boon Totem that causes Generators in range to regress more slowly and be repaired faster.

So rejoice and be not afraid… DEAD BY DAYLIGHT is available now as part of the Steam Public Test Build, with the grand launch scheduled for August 25. Be sure to watch the official website for future updates.
