Join “MOON GARDEN” creator and RUE MORGUE writer for NYC 35mm screening this Friday

The filmmaker behind the horror/fantasy that’s already racking up acclaim will discuss its creation at this special showing.

Writer/director/editor Ryan Stevens Harris shot MOON GARDEN on 35mm, and when Oscilloscope opens the movie this Friday, May 19 at New York City’s IFC Center, the 7:30 showings on the 19th and 20th will screen in that film format. And the 7:30 show on Friday will be followed by a Q&A with Harris, moderated by RUE MORGUE’s Michael Gingold. Go here for more details.

MOON GARDEN plays at the IFC Center through Thursday, May 25, and opens at the Alamo Drafthouse Los Angeles on Friday, May 26. Haven Lee Harris, Augie Duke, Brionne Davis, Maria Olsen, Timothy Lee DePriest, Phillip E. Walker and Morgana Ignis star; the synopsis: “When a little girl has a terrible accident and slips into a coma, she finds herself thrust into a darkly surreal industrial dreamworld. Haunted by a nightmarish specter that feeds off her tears, she must follow her mother’s radio-static voice to find her way back to consciousness.”
