The horror/comedy will be produced and aired by Netflix.

Variety reports that DAY SHIFT will mark the directorial debut of J.J. Perry, a 2nd-unit director and stunt coordinator on the JOHN WICK franchise as well as the eighth and ninth FAST AND FURIOUS movies and many others. Jamie Foxx stars as a San Fernando Valley pool cleaner whose real job is hunting and slaying vampires; Tyler Tice’s original script won the 2017 Slamdance Writing Competition Grand Prize, and has been revised by JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3–PARABELLUM’s Shay Hatten. Another WICK veteran, Chad Stahelski, is among the producing team on DAY SHIFT. “I’ve known and worked with JJ for a long time,” Stahelski tells the trade. “His unique vision of DAY SHIFT makes it such a great first directorial project for him.”
