Red Water Entertainment has just announced that it will be releasing THE SLEEP EXPERIMENT, the debut feature from award-winning Irish writer-director John Farrelly to VOD. Based on the infamous “Russian Sleep Experiment” creepypasta as well as true events, Farrelly’s film is the story of two detectives who launch an investigation into the dubious ethics of a top-secret government research facility called Porton Down. Their most shocking discovery is the Sleep Experiment, a Cold War-era program in which five alleged “enemies of the state” were sealed in a gas chamber and subjected to an airborne stimulant in an attempt to keep them awake for 30 days. Falsely promised they would be released at the experiment’s end, the prisoners faced a horrifying ordeal filled with hallucinations, violence and madness. Rob James Capel, Will Murphy, Tom Kerrisk, Barry John Kinsella and Will Murphy star.

John Farrelly’s THE SLEEP EXPERIMENT will be available beginning November 1 on such major digital and cable platforms as iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, iNDemand and DISH, beginning November 1. Breathe in the madness with the official trailer below.
