“INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3” and “ORPHAN” stars witness “THE LAST THING MARY SAW”

Two young actresses with solid genre cred are starring in a new film described as “a mythological horror pic.”

Deadline reports that Stefanie Scott, who starred in INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3, reprised her role in INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY and appeared in this year’s MARY, and Isabelle Fuhrman (pictured), who played the title role in ORPHAN, co-starred in CELL and DOWN A DARK HALL and will be seen next year in ESCAPE ROOM 2, top the cast of THE LAST THING MARY SAW, which is set to shoot on New York locations this month. The cast also includes Judith Roberts (DEAD SILENCE) and Rory Culkin (SIGNS, LORDS OF CHAOS). The Deadline story refers to the movie as “a period horror set in 1843 that follows the youngest daughter of a strict religious family who finds herself detained after discovering her ominously matriarchal grandmother dead.” LAST THING is the first feature written and directed by Edoardo Vitaletti, an Italian filmmaker based in New York, and the producers are Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins of Intrinsic Value (whose credits include THE ALPHABET KILLER and SATAN’S LITTLE HELPER), Harrison Allen and Madeleine Schumacher of Arachnid Films and Stephen Tedeschi.
