Indie frightfests “AM I EVIL” and “SHADOW REAPER” come to Blu-ray

Experience serial murder and the supernatural with this pair of releases.

Independent filmmaker Richard Terrasi has two of his fear features, one old and one new, arriving on Blu-ray. A 20th-anniversary 4K restoration of AM I EVIL is up for pre-order from SRS Cinema, which is also offering a poster and T-shirts, with shipping of the disc expected to begin in late June or July. “AM I EVIL has been out of print and out of sight for several years,” Terrasi says. “The film underwent a vigorous 4K restoration from its original master tapes and the stereo soundtrack has been cleaned and polished for the best sound quality.” Mark Vazquez, Deanna Sidoti, Kevin Pinassi and Jamie Oberlee star; the synopsis: “Andrew Lakewood [Vazquez] seems to be a normal guy. But deep within him lies a dark side, hidden, until one day, his thoughts and fantasies become real! AM I EVIL is a horrific and disturbing character study of a homicidal killer!”

Special features on the Blu-ray are:

  • New 2026 commentary by Richard Terrasi
  • Archival commentary track
  • The Making of AM I EVIL
  • Behind the scenes special effects with Mikey Rotella
  • “Anyone” music video
  • DeadPit Radio 2007 audio review of AM I EVIL
  • AM I EVIL trailer
  • Rare early 2005 AM I EVIL teaser

Meanwhile, Terrasi’s new movie SHADOW REAPER (pictured above), which we previously told you about here, is being issued by Scream Team Releasing. This one stars Kevin Losani (also the cinematographer), Atlas Xavier, Apollo Michael, Michael Widger, Tim Whalen and Achilles Jacob. Shot entirely on 16mm film, it played last year’s Panic Fest and will screen this Saturday, May 9 as part of the B Beside the Seaside International Film Festival, at the Southport Bijou Cinema in Merseyside, England. The synopsis: “Documentarian William Bradshaw and his film crew embarked on a journey to Devensville, Indiana in search of clues behind a series of mysterious murders and the roots to the legendary Shadow Reaper. What begins as an investigation soon descends into terror—ending in tragedy!”

Extras on this Blu-ray are:

  • Audio commentary
  • The Making of SHADOW REAPER
  • Raw outtakes
  • Photo gallery
  • Trailers

You can order the Blu-ray, as well as a VHS edition, at the Scream Team website
