On top of dingoes, venomous egg-laying mammals, crocodiles and sharks,  Australia now must contend with a killer in a cursed mask in the new horror film BAD GIRL BOOGEY. Produced and directed by Alice Maio Mackay, this distinctly Down Under slasher includes an inclusive LGBTQIA2+ cast and crew.

Sixteen years after the murder of their mother at the hands of a masked killer, Angel (Lisa Fanto), a young non-binary Australian, finds they’re being stalked. When their best friend is brutally cut down, they are forced to overcome their demons to protect their loved ones and stop whoever – or whatever – is behind the murders.

Co-written by Ben Pahl Robinson, BAD GIRL BOOGEY also stars Iris Mcerlean, Chris Asimos, Toshiro Glenn, Lewi Dawson and Kate Bonney. The film also features a voiceover cameo from fan-favorite Bill Moseley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and The Devil’s Rejects).

BAD GIRL BOOGEY from Dark Star Pictures will release on digital platforms on July 4, in select theaters on July 7 and DVD on July 11. Watch the trailer below!
