Huge Hammer Films screening series in NYC this summer!

The British studio that reinvented the horror genre is getting an extensive retrospective in New York City, including a number of 35mm screenings. Read on for the full details!

The Quad Cinema (34 West 13th Street) will present “Hammer’s House of Horror Part I: The Classic Years 1956-1967” May 30-June 19. The lineup includes Terence Fisher’s THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN and HORROR OF DRACULA, the two films that launched Hammer’s bloody-full-color franchises featuring the classic screen creatures, both on 35mm. In fact, 22 of the 32 movies in the series will be in that format; the full lineup is:
