The supernatural love story that premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival sees release next month.

Paramount releases MY ANIMAL to select theaters September 8 and on digital platforms September 15. Directed by Jacqueline Castel from a script by Jae Matthews, it stars Bobbi Salvör Menuez, Amandla Stenberg (BODIES BODIES BODIES), genre veteran Stephen McHattie, Heidi von Palleske, Cory Lipman, Charlie & Harrison Halpenny, Joe Apollonio, Scott Thompson and Dean McDermott. The synopsis: “Tormented by a hidden family curse, Heather [Menuez] is forced to live a secluded life on the outskirts of a small town. When she falls for the rebellious Jonny [Stenberg], their connection threatens to unravel Heather’s suppressed desires, tempting her to unleash the animal within.” Castel discusses the movie with us here.
