The latest film by Federico Zampaglione will get a frightening welcome at Screamfest LA this month.

Zampaglione’s THE WELL, a graphic supernatural horror film with hints of folklore, will have its North American premiere during the horror festival Screamfest LA. Its world premiere will take place at the Sitges Film Festival before heading to Los Angeles.

Lisa Gray (Lauren LaVera) is a beginner art restorer who’s looking to restore a painting from an Italian village. Unfortunately, this will be no ordinary restoration, as it might place her in the crosshairs of a curse and monster created from legend and agony.

A sinister figure looms over the titular well in the poster for “The Well.”

The film is directed by Federico Zampaglione and written by Zampaglione and Stefano Masi. It stars Lauren LaVera, Claudia Gerini, Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Taylor Zaudtke, Linda Zampaglione, Jonathan Dylan King, Lorenzo Renzi, Gianluigi Calvani, Yassine Fadel, Melanie Gaydos, Stefano Martinelli and Courage Oviawe. THE WELL premieres at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday, October 12 at 9 pm.
