Hard:Line Festival sets extreme cinema lineup and Director’s Showcase

The German genre showcase takes place in a medieval setting next month.

The 11th Hard:Line Film Festival will run April 11-14 at the Ostentor Cinema in the cathedral city of Regensburg. The lineup includes 13 features and 16 shorts from 13 countries, many of them accompanied by their creators. Among the filmmakers attending is Ted Geoghegan, the subject of the fest’s annual “Directors Spotlight,” who will screen and discuss his films BROOKLYN 45 (pictured above), MOHAWK and WE ARE STILL HERE and hold a master class for select guests. Hard:Line will wrap up with a closing-night party featuring a live performance by post-punk supergroup Zustand, and the Razor Blades ceremony including the presentation of Audience Awards and the Méliès D’Argent Award.
