Gunnar Hansen’s memoir “CHAIN SAW CONFIDENTIAL” is back in print; info and new cover

Out of print for half a decade, the chronicle of a horror classic has become newly available today.

Dark Ink, whose books have included Kane Hodder and Tom Savini biographies and the upcoming IN SEARCH OF DARKNESS, has reissued Gunnar Hansen’s CHAIN SAW CONFIDENTIAL: HOW WE MADE THE WORLD’S MOST NOTORIOUS HORROR MOVIE, originally published in 2013. The in-depth saga of the creation of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, in the words of the late actor who portrayed Leatherface, now comes with a new foreword by genre author Ray Garton and is available in various formats from Amazon.com and other retailers. The original audiobook narrated by Hansen will be out later this year.

“Having talked to Gunnar many times about his book and writing before his passing,” says Dark Ink owner Michael Aloisi, “I am utterly honored to be getting CHAIN SAW CONFIDENTIAL back out there for fans to honor his legacy and the film that changed the world. We could not be happier having his book alongside his friends’ and colleagues’ titles. We plan to keep it available for fans for generations to come.”
