Experience the zombie classic on the big screen again–or for the first time.

New Amsterdam Entertainment has partnered with Regal Cinemas to bring George A. Romero’s DAWN OF THE DEAD to theaters nationwide over Halloween weekend, opening Friday, October 27 for an exclusive week-long run before expanding to other theaters around the country.. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 13, and you’ll be able to find venues where it’s playing here. Last year, New Amsterdam and Regal released the 3D conversion of DAWN in a very successful limited run; this is the original uncut 2D version, as it was first screened in Italy in 1978 and played U.S. theaters in 1979. The film remains unavailable on streaming or cable platforms, and has been out of print on disc for more than a decade, so don’t miss this chance to see it as originally intended!
