Full Fantaspoa fest 2022 slate, plus exclusive first look at pics from Yoshihiro Nishimura’s “HOLY MOTHER”

The Japanese wildman’s latest is part of a huge slate of features playing Brazil’s genre fest.

The 18th edition of the Fantaspoa Fantastic Film Festival takes place April 15-May 1 in Porto Alegre, showcasing 90 features and 97 shorts. After two digital editions, this marks Fantaspoa’s return to live screenings as well as other events, though some of the program will also be available on-line (geo-blocked for Brazilian viewers). HOLY MOTHER (pictured above and below) will world-premiere as part of a celebration of cult horror/splatter director Yoshihiro Nishimura, who will be in attendance; his previous TOKYO GORE POLICE and VAMPIRE GIRL VS. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL will also screen.
