Full details revealed for “THE DEAD ZONE” Scream Factory Blu-ray

The David Cronenberg/Stephen King/Debra Hill classic is coming with a wealth of special features, including one by a RUE MORGUE staffer.

Shout! Factory has released full details for its Scream Factory Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of THE DEAD ZONE, which streets July 27. Directed by David Cronenberg, produced by Debra Hill and scripted by Jeffrey Boam from Stephen King’s novel, it stars Christopher Walken as Johnny Smith, who is thrown into a five-year coma by an auto accident and wakes up with the ability to see the future of those he touches. Brooke Adams, Martin Sheen, Herbert Lom and Anthony Zerbe also star. The movie will be presented on the disc in 1.85:1 widescreen in a new 4K scan from the original camera negative. Special features are:

Retail price is $32.98, but the Blu-ray can be pre-ordered from the Shout! Factory website for $28.93; these orders will come with an exclusive 18 x 24” rolled poster featuring the new cover art while supplies last.
